Great room, location, and staff.

Perfect to try Japanese traditional Ryokan The staff is really friendly and helpful. The diner is served at either 6, 6.30 or 7pm and we arrived at 8 but they managed to serve us normally. Speaking about the diner, it's HUGE. We had 11 dishes, incuding fish and meat. A bit too much for us, but at least you try so many traditional meals. The breakfast (either japanese or continental) is in the same way: consequent!

Really enjoyed our stay here, very helpful and welcoming staff, lots of nice little touches. Sweet onsen and amazing japanese breakfast! She went out of her way to ensure my gluten free needs were taken care of. Highly recommend it!

This is a delightful place to stay, in a perfect location to stroll down to the shrine gate after dark and first thing in the morning to enjoy it when the crowds aren’t now around. Our room was very beautifully furnished and comfortable, and the onsen bathrooms were lovely; even though they are shared, we never had any difficulties getting in when we wanted to. The food here is the real highlight though. We were presented with a 13-course fine dining evening meal, and almost as many courses for breakfast! Everything’s was beautifully presented, varied, delicious and interesting - a real treat.
