I was missing home food . So I order from Smiz exotic food Rajma Chicken and Kadi Pakora . Unbelievable so delicious and tasty such like home made food as your mother make it back home in Ludihana or Lahore 🤤

The best Suriname food in Amsterdam. Sandwiches and meals are perfect. Highly recommended.

Only tried a few dishes (yet), but certainly a keeper. Good food, reasonable prices (esp. for Amsterdam city center area) To nitpick; baka bana (deepfried banana) and peanut sauce are both a bit pale, but taste is fine (for my taste, I added at home some ketjap and Djahé, ginger powder, to it, which I liked better). Ketjap chicken is very nice and falls off the bone, but a bit too sweet (needed pepper/salt and/or acidity IMO) But this is subjective taste. Will try some more dishes, but overall a good pick for good, affordable Suriname/Indo food in Jordaan area.

Lovely Suriname's take away store with a large choice of exotic sandwiches, or cooked meals with different meat, fish or prawns choice and veggies. Try the specialist of fried banana's topped with peanut sauce ;-) I know it sounds weird but it is definitely worth to try its taste. Most dishes are spicy but not to extreme. This little hidden gem in Jordaan area is definitely worth of trying and it has a very fair price. It is visited mostly by locals. If you are in the neighborhood it is definitely an food experience to not be missed, while in Amsterdam. For those who are unknown to Suriname kitchen; there are multiple cultures within Suriname that coexist, including Creole, Chinese, Javanese, Indian, and the native population. A short history on Suriname: Suriname was first inhabited by the native Americans.  The first European explorers to come to the Guianas were Dutch and Spanish, although the first colonization attempt was made by the English in 1663, which established plantations with forced labor.  After a very brief battle with the English In 1667 the Dutch took over Suriname in the Treaty of Breda, which gave the British New Amsterdam (now New York). At this point, Suriname was set up as a corporation where profits went to the city of Amsterdam (a wealthy Dutch family, and the Dutch West India Company).  During this time, African slaves were brought to work in the plantations. This arrangement lasted almost 100 years. Suriname remained a Dutch colony until the Netherlands promised to provide autonomy for its former colonies in the post-war period. Only in 1975 Suriname became an independent country.
