Image-defining 16th century town hall with openwork turret on the central canal, recently renovated on the outside. Not heard: the carrillon, consisting of 50 bells, that hangs open naked in the peak, the carillonneur plays on Wednesdays and Saturdays. There is another story in the paved pavement in front of the house: it used to be what is said to be a 'court yard'. However, all traces of the pitch and springs have been cleaned away, the overpass over the canal forms a beautiful ensemble together with the town hall.

Beautiful old town hall with a rich history. Can also be used as a wedding location in the center of Schoonhoven. No longer in use after merger into a council chamber.
