National Book Store - SM Muntinlupa

The SM Muntinlupa branch of the school and office supplies chain. Yes, they identify as a bookstore chain (it's part of their name!) because they probably started out that way, but this branch exemplifies why I describe it differently. Most of the place is devoted to school and office supplies, which occupy most of the space, front and center. There's a central section of tables where they put promotional or sale items, and often this has books, if any titles are being pushed at the moment. But to get to the main book section, you'll have to climb to a mezzanine at the rear. But I still give it 4 stars because whatever they do now, despite their name, they do it well. A wide variety of items is available, quality is generally good, and the staff know where everything is and can easily guide you.

Terrible service and indifferent sales ladies. We were buying Mass cards for a wake of a family friend and none of the staff had the decency to lend us a pen so that we can write the name of deseased. We asked one sales lady and she would direct us to another sale lady who would send us to another person just to lend us a pen. No concern no care.

Telephone number isn't working. Always ringing but no answer.
