The synagogue was built at the beginning of the 19th century. During World War II, the Nazis completely devastated the synagogue. During the fighting in 1945, the synagogue came under fire, which completed the work of destruction. After the end of the war, the synagogue served as a fertilizer and salt warehouse for the "Samopomoc Chłopska" Commune Cooperative, then as a warehouse and home appliances store. In 1975, a decision was made to hand over the facility to the Municipal Public Library. In the period 1978-1982 extensive renovation of the building was carried out using Joint resources. At that time, the existing fragments of the polychrome were preserved inside. Currently, in the synagogue, there is the Commune Public Library on the first floor, and a grocery and liquor store on the ground floor. In 1977, the synagogue was entered into the register of monuments and protected by conservator, as evidenced by a plate on the wall of the building.
