Lodzermensch (09/14/2018)
The street was marked out in 1823 and it was called Southern. During World War II, the name was changed to Zietenstrasse. After the war, the name Southern was returned, which lasted until 1955. Then the street was given the name of the Revolution of 1905 and this name is still valid today. Interesting places on this street include the house at no. 19, where there is the only inscription in Hebrew preserved in Łódź (now protected by a plexiglass). It is a poster of the Lodz Society for the Assistance of the Sick. Going further, on the house at No. 28 (Wilchelma Reicher from 1893) you can see the original Russian-language inscription with the name of the owner of the building. A part of tenements standing along ul. The Revolution of 1905 was renovated, for example, the house at No. 24, part of it is waiting for repairs, and a few unfortunately only for demolition.
