The mini-park is very beautiful and cozy, there are many flower beds with fresh flowers. There are benches for relaxation. In the center of the park there is a monument to two cannons, which were discovered at the site of the Biysk fortress, or as it was also called, the Bikatun prison. It was he who became the founder of our city.

Cast in 1702 at the Kamensk iron foundry. The shells for the guns were grenades, buckshot and cannonballs. The weight of such a projectile was 12 pounds (5.44 kg.) These are two of the 12 guns delivered to the Biysk fortress in the winter of 1756 from the Cannes fortress, where at one time they were transferred from the Tobolsk fortress. Initially, the entire batch of newly brought guns was dispersed over the lower battery floors of the fortress towers. But after the reconstruction of the fortress in 1770, six open bastion batteries were specially built for them, on which they were installed, two pieces each. After the abolition of the Biysk fortress in 1848, the cannons were removed from the bastions, some of them were given to be melted down, but fate prepared a longer life for several of them. Two cannons were installed on a granite pedestal in honor of the bicentennial of Biysk in 1909, and it is them that we can now see in the Police Square on the street. Soviet, where they are, in fact, an open-air museum and one of the main attractions of the city of Biysk. The fate of three more guns is even more interesting - they happened to take part in hostilities on the fields of the civil war of 1918 ... Biysk Bolsheviks, headed by a member of the Soviet of Deputies I.M. Cherednichenko installed them on railway platforms and used them in battles on the Cherepanovsk front, shooting White Czechs from them with homemade buckshot and French grenades.
