The big visitor attraction on Khortystia is a reconstruction of a Zaporizhian sich. The fortified wooden village was a few years in the making and completed in 1983. In a faithfully-designed sich from the 1500s there are exhibits in the village’s wooden huts and halls on themes like Khortytsia in the Stone Age, the story of the Zaporizhian Cossacks and Zaporizhia at the advent of socialism. There are also dioramas to check out, two dealing with pivotal battles fought by the Zaporizhian Cossacks and one for the construction of the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station. In the summer you can watch feisty battle re-enactments by actors in 16th-century dress.

Nice collection of musical instruments. Rest is either fake or boring. Whole village is freshly painted. Unbelievably commercial

Really surprised by high service level. Everything is well done - from food to in an interior.

We drove to Vyatskoye for a couple of hours, but got stuck for the whole day. This village, which recently celebrated its 600th anniversary, is today one of the most beautiful villages in Russia. Once upon a time, local residents went to work in St. Petersburg, and upon their return they built houses for themselves on the model of the capital's mansions. The most famous resident of Vyatsky was Peter Telushkin, who in the fall of 1830 repaired the damage on the spire and angel of the Peter and Paul Cathedral in the fall of 1830, and is therefore considered the founder of industrial mountaineering. Vyatskoye is not a popular print, although the first thing that catches the eye is pretty bright houses, and several small but interesting museums have very interesting collections. A very interesting place!

A lovely place called Vyatskoe. It is located about 38 km from the city of Yaroslavl. towards Lyubim. You can get there by bus (RUB 98). The bus departs from the Cosmos shopping center, which is located beyond the Volga. It takes about 1 hour, as it stops at all summer cottages. And also by taxi (more expensive). But you can fly in about 20 minutes. The road is good. But there are no local taxi drivers, so it will not be quick to leave by taxi from there, as you will have to wait for the taxi to arrive from Yaroslavl. The bus will take you to the very center of the village. Everything in the village is pleasantly arranged and beautiful. Purely. The Internet catches and works. It is worth to come and walk through all 12 museums. The Vyatskoye restaurant can feed everyone and everyone. In a good way. Or maybe you are lucky and you will cross with Lyubov Yurievna Kazarnovskaya. Opera singer. She has a house there. And he often goes to eat at this restaurant. I saw her and approached her, but she said that they were not taking pictures. And maybe some other celebrity will meet you.
