Monument to the first traffic light in Novosibirsk

The first traffic light monument in Russia. It is a sculptural composition in the form of a sentry saluting a traffic light. The sentry is depicted very vividly! The monument is located at the intersection of Sibrevkoma and Serebrennikovskaya streets near school number 12, where in 1936 one of the first traffic lights was installed in Novosibirsk. It was a manual three-section electric traffic light. The grand opening of the monument took place on June 25, 2006, the day of the city of Novosibirsk. Dedicated to his 70th anniversary of the formation of the traffic police. The authors of the idea are Sergey Shtelmakh, head of the regional traffic police, and Viktor Bulankin, director of Avtoradio-Novosibirsk. The group of authors: the chief architect of the Central District of Novosibirsk, Alexander Bulavin, and the Arti advertising agency.

My memories are connected with this place: my children (and I have 3e) studied at school number 12, which is the opposite ... And instead of this Wonderful Monument to the Traffic Light, there was a stall where alcohol was sold around the clock and the contingent was appropriate, and everything the most unresolved for schoolchildren, and in school there were often problems because of the stall, parents were too unhappy, and the school’s management was not thrilled ...
