The monument to D. M. Karbyshev is located on the Theater Square of the city of Omsk, in the square named after General Karbyshev. Its opening took place in 1961. The authors of the monument are architect Yu. Krivushchenko and V. Fedorov. The monument is dedicated to the Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant General of Engineers, Doctor of Military Sciences, Professor, Soviet military leader Karbyshev Dmitry Mikhailovich, who was born and studied in the city of Omsk, and participated in the First World and Russian-Japanese wars, during which he showed himself an outstanding fortifier .
