Omsk gate of the Omsk fortress is a monument of history and architecture of the late XVIII century. It was erected in 1794 in the southeastern part of the fort, between the Steppe bastion and the Ilyinsky semi-bastion. Omsk gates along with Tarski were the most important for the city - through them communication was made with the advanced fortification post, together with the Tobolsk gates they closed one of the main streets of the fortress - Springerovskaya. The construction was demolished in 1937, when the construction of a single-track wide-lane track for transporting coal from the station to the CHPP-1 began. Only in 2010, as part of the creation of the Omsk Fortress historical and cultural complex, the Omsk Gates were restored according to old drawings in their historical appearance. Their facades are decorated with paired pilasters located on both sides of a wide arched opening.

These gates are original, like the Tobolsk ones. Tarskme Gate is a replica.

Cultural heritage of the recent past. The city is quite young, but very interesting.
