The Irtysh gates of the Omsk fortress are one of the four gates of the ancient fortification. They were built in its southern part, on the banks of the Irtysh, in 1768 - 1770. In order to enhance defense, the original wooden structure was replaced by a brick one. Outside, the gates looked like a quadrangular tower with a gable roof. Their facades were decorated with rust finish and paired pilasters on both sides of the arched opening. Washed by a flood in 1928, the Irtysh gates collapsed and were subsequently dismantled. Only in 2010, as part of the creation of the Omsk Fortress historical and cultural complex, the building was restored on its historical foundation.
