An interesting monument, a great idea. Kozma Petrovich Prutkov is one of the amazing and brightest products of Russian literary and social life. As you know, he himself, with his entire biography and genealogy, with fables, poems, plays, aphorisms, was invented by the poet Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy and his cousins - Alexei and Vladimir Zhemchuzhnikov. Other Zhemchuzhnikovs - Alexander and Lev, as well as the poet Pyotr Pavlovich Ershov also contributed. Lev Zhemchuzhnikov, together with the artists Beideman and Lagorio, came up with a pictorial image of Prutkov, creating his portrait.

Kozma Petrovich Prutkov is a literary, collective pseudonym of some poets and writers of the 19th century.

Stunning hoax. This gentleman has his own pedigree, biography, character. The image of Kozma (Kuzma, Kosma) turned out so real and viable that it could break the fate of the writers who invented it. The monument is worthy and interesting, take a few minutes, look at it carefully :)

the literary mask, under which in the magazines Sovremennik, Iskra and others, in the 50s – 60s of the 19th century, poets Alexei Tolstoy (the largest in quantitative terms) contributed, brothers Alexei, Vladimir and Alexander Zhemchuzhnikovy (in fact, the collective pseudonym of all four) . According to several testimonies of contemporaries, a significant part in the creation of the heritage of Kozma Prutkov was received by the staff captain Alexander Ammosov, who died early due to severe wounds. In particular, he wrote the famous fable "The Shepherd, Milk and the Reader". Satirical poems, aphorisms of Kozma Prutkov and his very image ridiculed mental stagnation, political "good intentions", parodied literary epigonism.
