Monument dedicated to the memory of explorers and sailors of the XVII – XVIII centuries. Its opening took place on September 22, 1971. The author of the monument is the Leningrad sculptor E. A. Vishnevetskaya (she is also the author of the sculpture of Aquarius installed in 1983 near the river station in Veliky Ustyug). On the back of the frieze, the names and years of the campaigns of the most famous explorers who are considered Ustyuzhans are listed.
