The building of the first fire department of the city of Tsaritsyn is an architectural monument of Tsaritsyn of the 19th century of regional significance. Located in the Central District of Volgograd at the address: st. Communist, 5. Before the revolution, Tsaritsyn had several buildings for fire brigades. Two of them have survived to this day (the second is in the Voroshilovsky district). In 1891 it was decided to build a fire station, and in 1897 the building was put into operation, as evidenced by the inscription on the facade of the building. The building was damaged during the Battle of Stalingrad. According to some reports, the tower was removed from the building even before the war, in the 1930s. Restored in the 1950s without watchtower. In 1995, after a fire, the building was restored to its original form. Inside the tower there is a simple, and then a spiral staircase.
