An interesting museum, but what an antique dealer there.

A real old house, lots of antiques, very interesting

The ancestral home of the Kalashnikov family was built in the first half of the 18th century, that is, even before the radical redevelopment of the city's streets. He was lucky to stay on the red line, and besides, his facade opened onto a small square, created for a better view of the Epiphany Monastery. This unique house is one of the first stone buildings in the settlement, although part of it is still made in wood. Its plan differs little from typical log houses "with three windows", but the decor is more intricate: platbands, rustication, pilasters. A wooden volume with mighty logs and a small porch is attached to the back. The high plank roof at the beginning of the 20th century was replaced by a flatter one. In the house, now turned into a museum, the designer of steam engines Vasily Ivanovich Kalashnikov was born and raised (not to be confused with the gunsmith Mikhail Timofeevich).
