Now it is becoming fashionable to fit monuments into the surrounding reality. And I really like it. The boring busts breathe with antiquity and some kind of unreality. And here outstanding scientists appear before us as they were in life - ordinary townspeople who walked in the park and moved on a bicycle. Next to this monument in the city of nuclear physicists Dubna, I caught myself thinking that any passer-by could turn out to be no less great a scientist than Bruno Pontecorvo. Thus, the monument reminds us that great things are happening here and now, around us. And just the information that the bust with the tablet gives can be read on Wikipedia.

Venedikt Petrovich Dzhelepov in life was a little shorter than he is depicted, Bruno Maximovich Pontecorvo made in compliance with the proportions.
