Rotonda Na Upe

🙋 The Tula rotunda is located in the city of Tula near the banks of the Upa river, opposite the new Museum of weapons in the form of a helmet and the Nikolo-Zaretsky temple. It is located near the former observation area from the side of "Tulamashzavod". It appeared quite recently, during the reconstruction of the city's embankment. With the advent of the rotunda, the place quickly became the most popular; people come here to admire the view of the city center and take beautiful photos. 👍 It is good because it looks very laconic. It justifies its name because has a round shape, has a wide dark dome, which rests on 12 columns, which are arranged in pairs. They are connected by a low balustrade with a single gap - to enter the rotunda. The height is 6 meters and the diameter is 8 meters. Around there is a lawn, which is part of a well-groomed square, and very close to there is a high green slope that resembles a lecture hall. ❤️ In the summer, wedding convoys simply line up to take a wedding photo near the Tula Rotunda. It is quite actively used for various kinds of events, for example, for music concerts.

A beautiful graceful rotunda with 12 white columns and a dark dome. Height - 6 m, diameter - 8 m. Located on a well-groomed observation deck, from where the weapons museum and the Nikolo-Zaretskaya church are perfectly visible. A popular place for photo shoots for tourists and newlyweds. Especially for the latter, an openwork metal image of white swans was installed next to the rotunda, as a symbol of love and fidelity. Sometimes used for music concerts.

Were in Tula last year. We stopped at the rotunda for photos. Honestly, the state of this building leaves much to be desired. I hope that it will be restored, so that it will again delight the eye with its snow-whiteness. But from this point a wonderful view of the museum of weapons and the river.
