The 24-meter-long triumphal arch is part of the ensemble, which, in addition to it and the monument to G.K. Zhukov, includes the Church of St. George the Victorious (height 47 m), the monument to the unknown soldier and the Eternal Flame memorial. The author of the project was the architect Yevgeny Vuchetich, the creator of the Volgograd memorial composition "Motherland" on Mamaev Kurgan and monumental ensembles in Berlin, Kiev and New York dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
