A good place

The monastery as a heavenly place in the already dying village of Boldino, 17 km from Dorogobuzh. Quite a lot of religious objects are concentrated on a relatively small territory. Now the brotherhood numbers 14 monks. The abbot of the monastery, since its revival, is Father Anthony. He was entrusted to head the monastery in 1991, when the temple lay in ruins and was an overgrown hill, the walls had breaks in places, and there was a chapel, a refectory and the bell, restored by the efforts of students and the restoration site at the end of the 60s of the 20th century, then among them was my teacher of the Faculty of History, Mikhail Mikhailovich Kazakov. Their work from 1988 to 1993 was continued by our construction team under the leadership of Nikolai Nikolaevich Kolpachkov. Therefore, participating in the restoration of the monastery at that time and seeing it in full splendor now it is difficult to imagine what human hands can do. Since 2002, the temple has been opened and every year the life of the monastery flourishes both literally and figuratively.
