A beautiful dominant of the Pskova River valley below the Trinity Bridge downstream. During the day it is very beautiful, but at night it looks just stately.

At a distance of 268 m from the Kutekrom tower, the wall makes a protrusion inward by 5 m. In this place there is a 5-tier Middle tower with a height of 5 meters, an average diameter of 11 meters (It was also called Snetnaya (they kept it in it). The tower ends with a tent with a watchtower, on which a metal prap with a stylized image of a cross is mounted - for prapor, an ornament with a cross located on the wall of the Staro-Izborsk fortress is used. In 1966-1968 the surviving base of the Middle Tower was examined. It disappeared by the end of the 17th century and was recreated in 1973 during the restoration of the Kremlin.
