This is a small but significant monument to the valve in the city, where a couple of months a year pass without heating.

Monument to the cast-iron gate valve Du 400, manufactured in 1955 at the Ivano-Frankivsk Valve Plant. In 1955, the valve was installed in the heat chamber 18/2 at the intersection of Lenin Avenue and Komsomolskaya Street. Since that time, the valve has provided heat to about 100 residential and public buildings connected through an 18/2 heat chamber. And only in 2013 it was replaced by a steel valve in connection with moral and physical deterioration. In total, the valve worked properly - 58 years! March 26, 2014, on the day of the 80th anniversary of the Murmansk Thermal Power Plant, the valve was installed as a monument at the entrance of the Murmansk Thermal Power Plant (14 Schmidta St.).
