In 1981, a monument to the Spanish writer Cervantes was erected in the Friendship Park as part of the cultural program "Days of Madrid in Moscow" and "Days of Moscow in Spain." In honor of this, our countries exchanged copies of sculptures by famous national writers. So we got a copy of the monument to Cervantes from the square de las Cortes. Several times a sword was stolen from him, and now he still stands without it.
