The mansion of Mikhail Morozov and his wife Margarita Mamontova. In 1981, the wedding was sumptuously celebrated in the restaurant "Hermitage". On the same day, the couple went to St. Petersburg, where their honeymoon passed at the European Hotel. Young became regulars of Mikhailovsky and Alexandrinsky theaters. After St. Petersburg, Mikhail and his wife went to Paris, where they also lived a month. Then the newlyweds visited Nice and Monte Carlo. In Nice, their neighbor was Queen Victoria, and in Monte Carlo the Morozovs were greeted by the widow of Emperor Alexander II, Princess EM Yuryevskaya, at a roulette game. Michael and Margarita returned to Moscow in March 1892 and lived for a while in a rented apartment, and six months later Mikhail bought a former mansion of the tea-seller K.S. Popov at the corner of Glazovsky Lane and Smolensky Boulevard, rebuilt by the architect AI Rezanov in 1877. The house has a semi-circular terrace framed by columns, and a winter garden. Young people did not deny themselves anything. MK Morozova recalled that receptions, balls, collected in their house up to two hundred guests. There were concerts, home plays, costumed performances. They had their home in Paris, loved to travel: Spain, Great Britain, Egypt. The furnishings of their Moscow home spoke of complete well-being: two horse-drawn carriages, exquisite serving, costume jewelery and the best tailors for the wife. The servant's staff was numerous: an expensive cook, a barman with helpers, cooks, lackeys, a chambermaid, a washerwoman, floorers, a watchmaker, a doorman, a coachman, a valet. The house was equipped with its own power plant, which was serviced by a specially hired electrician. Some of the servants lived in the house of the Morozovs with their family
