The Armory tower

The Armoury (Oruzheinaya) Tower (former Konyushennaya — Stables) was built in 1493-1495 at the northwestern side of the Kremlin's wall facing the Alexandrov Gardens. It is situated between the Borovitskaya and Komendantskaya Towers. In the early XVIIth century the tower had a pass-gate to the Kremlin's Konnyushenniy (Stables) Court. That is why it was first called Konyushennaya (Stables) Tower. The tower's marquee top erected in 1676-1686 has survived in its medieval shape till nowadays. The Oruzheinaya Tower was given its present-day name in the XIXth century after the Oruzheinaya (Armoury) Chamber had been built in its vicinity. The tower's height is 38,9 m.

It is full of Russian artifacts from centuries ago. It's a window into the past.

It is located between the Borovitskaya and Komendatskaya towers. It was erected in the 1490s (height 30.9 m.) And used to be called Konyushennaya. So originally, it was called according to the passage gate to the Konyushenny order existing on this place, in the 17-18 centuries (the central government body in the Russian state, in charge of the equestrian business of the state and everything connected with it ...). The modern name, it received in 1851, after the construction of the Armory on the site of the order. A modern view, the Tower of Oruzheinvya has retained its 16th century form. Recent reconstruction work was carried out in 2018.

The tower of the northwestern part of the wall of the Moscow Kremlin, is located between the Borovitskaya and the Commandant towers. Built in the 1490s. In 1686, a stone tent was added.
