Guys, do not confuse the estate with the church in Dubrovitsy. In the Podolsk district of the Moscow region in the village. Dubrovitsy is a manor, a boyar manor, that is, a former stone house with 3 floors for the owners to live. Boyarsky house with balconies, galleries, walkways, annexes. This estate was owned by the boyars Morozov, Golitsyn, Dmitriev-Mamonov, Potemkin ... The Romanovs and ambassadors of other states also visited this estate. There is a park around the estate. According to legend, there is an oak tree planted by Peter the Great. The estate is fenced. Now the registry office and the concert hall are located here. The poster shows that famous artists and groups perform here. And 100 meters away there is a baroque church with a golden royal crown on the dome ... First, there was a wooden church on this territory, and then many years later, when the owner of the estate was the tutor of Peter the Great, Boris Golitsyn, a church was built under the name of its famous the icon of the Sign of the Most Holy Theotokos, which exists to this day. Concerts are held in the estate, marriages are registered. And in the church services are held daily. And the sacraments (baptism, wedding) and rituals (funeral service) are performed by prior agreement with the priest in the church. So these are two different differences: the ESTATE, where people lived, guests and servants, and the CHURCH, where they prayed and pray until now ..

The biggest drawback of this place is the very small area. As a result, the trip by car takes 3 hours (both sides), and for a walk 1 hour maximum. I would have thought several times before recommending going to this place. But the church is really very beautiful!

beautiful outside, gorgeous inside! unfortunately you cannot take pictures inside. The sky-blue dome of the church with many full-length white sculptures is a dizzying sight! It is best to travel in good, sunny weather.

A beautiful place, a fairly good meadow, you can, with your own tourist folding chairs, tables and a canopy), sit, sunbathe, grill barbecue and just relax. A very beautiful Temple, but it has been under restoration for a very long time and there is no end in sight. There are very few shops. And the place of the "Tsvetaevsky" fireplace would be nice to improve. In general, just see for yourself) I recommend!
