The Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is the only church in Dmitrov that did not close during the years of Soviet rule. The church was built in 1735 and apparently remained practically the same as it was originally. But later interiors - the iconostasis of 1867 and the frescoes of 1907. Now the temple also operates. Despite its proximity to the Borisoglebsky monastery, tourists rarely drop in here.

I want to share a very negative impression about this church Yesterday, the first son was baptized. at an interview with my mother took a prepayment in the amount of a thousand rubles, because the mother is single, and the godmother was left without work. We asked for payment relief. As a result, on the day of christening, mother insolently announced that we still have to pay a thousand without asking if mom has this amount .. And this is in addition to 4 times the price of candles. The sacrament was conducted with violations, the godmother did not even read the prayers, the prayer on the wall was closed with props. In addition, the child is abruptly doused with a ladle, which frightens him to crying and cramping. Such actions must be complained to the diocese and to declare an unprecedented process of exactions. The sacrament of baptism in many churches is absolutely free, and the leadership of this church directly announces the cost of christening at 3,100 rubles. No one gives out a single check. And after that the church calls to come to the temple! I think everyone will draw conclusions for themselves upon learning about this.

A beautiful place, good attitude, sincere father, who warmly held the baptism ceremony. Infants are not afraid of him. And the sermon was inspiring!
