The prince was majestically located at the powerful walls of the Kolomna Kremlin. A monument was erected in Kolomna, because there was a gathering point for the Russian army before the decisive battle with the Golden Horde. From here it went to the Kulikovo field in order to defeat the troops of the Horde headed by its ruler Temnik Mamai under the leadership of the Grand Duke of Moscow Dmitry Donskoy on September 21, 1380. The sculptor A.I. Rukavishnikov and the architect S.A. Sharov became the authors of the monument.
