In 1927, in one of the central squares of Kolomna, called Bazarnaya, the reburial of those who fell in the revolutions of 1905 and 1917 was performed. After the event, this place was called the Red Graves, and the square - the Square of Two Revolutions. In 1958, according to the project of the architect Nikolai Ponikarov, a monument to the fighters of the revolution was erected at the burial site.
