Очень красивое, даже величественное место, обязательно к осмотру! И выводит на милую улочку с приятными магазинчиками, кафешками и пекарнями. Хочется вернуться.

The most interesting thing about this place is the sale of rolls in a nearby shop. There is a queue at the weekend 100%, rolls with stewed goose and so on, but the sbiten is really very good and for a reasonable price of 80 rubles / glass. True, they do not give checks) they pretend that they are very busy)).

The old town in Kolomna is beautiful! Everywhere there is an air of antiquity, very beautiful, cozy and a very developed tourist infrastructure.

The Pyatnitskaya Tower probably got its name from the wooden church of Paraskeva Pyatnitsa, which was considered the patroness of trade, which stood on the settlement behind the Kremlin wall near the gates. But by the 18th century, the church collapsed, and the gates are called Spassky in the documents, according to one version - along the Spassky Monastery, which stood three hundred meters southeast of the Kremlin wall, on the other - from the icon of the All-Merciful Savior of the Not Made by Hands, hanging over the passage. However, this name did not catch on, apparently due to the fact that the Pyatnitskaya chapel was built in the 19th century.

Pyatnitsky gates (Pyatnitskaya tower) are the main, front gates of the Kolomna Kremlin. This is one of the six gates of the Kolomna Kremlin (including penetrative ones) and the only travel tower that has survived to this day (there were four in all). The tower was built in 1525-1531.
