Kolomenskaya or "Marina Tower" was erected in the 16th century. It was here that Marina Mnishek was imprisoned, which is why the tower was nicknamed by the people. This tower, as well as the Faceted one, are connected by a fortress wall perfectly preserved to this day. The fortress has a passage across the bridge to the territory of the Exaltation of the Cross Cathedral and the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin.

The Marinkina tower is one of the seven towers of the Kolomna Kremlin that have survived to this day. Built in 1525-1531. It was located between Granovita (preserved) and the Borisoglebskaya Kremlin towers. It is generally believed that the tower received the name Marinkina from its great prisoner, Marina Mnishek, who, according to legend, was imprisoned in this tower in 1614 and died here. The tower has eight tiers, the first six - with loopholes, the seventh tier - mashikuli, the eighth - tier with two-horned teeth.
