An intricate monument, if I had not looked closely, I would not have understood that it was standing on the wing.

The monument is undoubtedly pretty. For a long time, the authorities of Zhukovsky in this place did not want to erect a monument to Chkalov. I am also surprised by the fact that the monument to Chkalov was actually erected between the streets of no less well-known test pilots who died while testing aircraft - these are Garnayev and Amet-Khan-Sultan. Why not put monuments on this site ?!
