A worthy monument to a military fighter, single-seat aircraft "LA -7". Its second name is WEAPON OF VICTORY. He appeared on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War in the summer of 1944. Three times Hero of the Soviet Union Kozhedub shot down 16 enemy fighters on such an aircraft. This is a monument not only to the aircraft, but also to the people who created it, first of all - to the outstanding designer S.A. Lavochkin. The monument is located at the intersection of Lavochkin and May 9 streets in Khimki at the entrance to the Dubki park - a very symbolic place. Passing the monument to the aircraft "LA-7", stop and mentally take off your hat in front of the genius of the people who created it and fought on it ....
