If in the daytime the monument looks majestic, then in the dark when illuminated it looks even more majestic. Especially the illumination creates the impression of a mirage that the soldier is not alone, but his comrade-friends are standing nearby. Music, light - everything creates a sense of the reality of that time.

This place is worth visiting. An eternal fire burns here. The monument itself is in perfect condition, of course. From here a beautiful view of the Volga and the city opens. It is worth walking across the bridge to the park and reading each inscription. You can also climb from the Volga from the bottom. If desired or necessary, you can go up by car close enough to the monument. There are many benches around, sitting on which you can admire the view around. It's really beautiful here.

The obelisk to the Liberators has been located on the mound of Glory on the left bank of the Volga since 1963. From four sides, stone stairs with interesting fences lead to the obelisk. The war memorial is installed on a granite pedestal, which is decorated with bas-reliefs with images and inscriptions praising the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. At the foot of the monument is the tomb of the unknown soldier and the eternal flame. Nearby are the mass graves of the Rzhev partisans, commanders of the Red Army and underground fighters.

Nice, clean, calm, everything is thought out, the view is beautiful. Rzhev is a very calm and beautiful city, a suburban area for residents of the capital. Many people simply buy apartments and leave as if they were a summer cottage. Many parks, clean Volga, roads to all four cardinal directions. Recommend.
