Dokhodnyy Dom Kuptsa F. Moskvina

The profitable house for the merchant F. Moskvin was designed in 1907 by the Finnish architect Paavo Watila (who later became the city architect of Vyborg). The monumental five-story building was built in the style of northern Art Nouveau and has survived to this day in its original form. Its pastel facade is made in the Art Nouveau style under the influence of ancient German architecture. Two towers with bizarre completions, ornaments and relief images of mythical characters are especially noteworthy. Currently, the building is an apartment building with commercial premises on the ground floor.
