Consolation Manor

In the times of Peter the Great, these were the lands of the Koporsk patrimony, which belonged to the Most Serene Prince - Alexander Danilovich Menshikov. As a reward for the Kotelskaya estate, in 1730 the Empress Anna Ioannovna handed over to the major of the Life Guards of the Preobrazhensky regiment - Ivan Ivanovich Albrecht. In 1805, Ivan Ivanovich's grandson, Ivan Lvovich, bought the village of Ratchino from the Razumovskys. Near it in the early 1830s was built a chic English Gothic manor, the remains of which can be seen today. The name "Consolation" was given in memory of the death of two young family members by Albrecht. After the death of the last man of the Albrechts family in 1850, the estate passed to the sisters Maria, Olga, Sophia, Ekaterina. The management of the estate was entrusted to Catherine's husband, Colonel of the Life Guards Richard Ivanovich Truveller. A dozen years later, the Truvellers finally took possession of the estate, and the estate was renamed "Lilino". According to the tradition of the revolutionary time, the manor house was plundered, then converted into a hospital. Subsequently, having exhausted all resources, it was abandoned. Now the building is leased and is in the stage of sluggish restoration.
