Jordan - after the Gospel Jordan River - is called in the Orthodox tradition a hole in the ice of a reservoir, which is arranged on the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord. Here Jordan is a transparent spring, it does not freeze even in winter and is really perfect for Epiphany blessing of water. But it is probably no coincidence that among the numerous Gatchina springs, it was the spring on the low bank at the beginning of the White Lake that was framed by 4 granite slabs in the 19th century. The miniature pool has a rectangular shape, low walls are made of light gray granite. Three steps leading to the well are made of the same material.

And the place itself is beautiful and you can feed the birds, you get interesting photos. For some reason, children really like it here.
