Dmitri Rogov (10/29/2020)
A large stone staircase (with lions) connected the palace part of Pavlovsk park with the Slavyanka river valley. This building, along with the Linden Alley, became a solemn approach to the Palace during receptions and festive ceremonies. Brenna uses decorative vases and marble statues of lions as decorations in the upper part of the structure; these animals are depicted as friendly and curious. Below on the fence are cast-iron figures of lions, their faces are bared, and their postures are aggressive. To get to the palace, guests had to overcome 64 steps, divided into four marches. The staircase is narrowed upward, which creates the illusion of its great length. The stairs offer a wonderful view of the park
