Nice place where Biological institute is situated. Palace itself need some renovation, but the park is quite nice. I hope Biological Institute will be renovated and separates itself from Saint Petersburg State University.

I have mixed feelings about this building. As a Peterhof guy, I can no longer name the date when this palace was wrapped in a fence in the name of restoration. For more than ten years, I have been riding a bike in Sergievka all my life, this is a good park to get lost. But back to the palace - he is sad. Yes, not everything is so bad, it will be completely restored, because the church was rebuilt almost from a brick ground. Someone said that they were going to burn down the new Peterhof wedding palace in this building, and that would be a real bomb! The Promenade des Anglais and Chernyshevskaya would immediately burst out: a palace in front of the slope, a small graceful Russian-style rococo, further down the slope a wonderful English park and a square pond. Across the bridge over the ravine - a neo-Gothic church. Inside it would be 100% awesome interior, and all this real elite special on your main holiday. Smartly, in general. But ten years have passed, at least! 10 years is a dofiga, just a sea of time, during which every living person manages to do an overdof of things and achieve a lot. But the palace could not. All this time, he has been standing in the park, forgotten, turned into just a fence and a house behind it, with light bulbs. And the bridge nearby was leaking. Joy, fun and money could be created around this place. Instead, decay is created for 10 years. There is still hope.

The title of the Biological Research Institute or the Leuchtenberg Palace is located in the park Sergievka - a natural monument. The building itself has not been reconstructed for a long time, which is sad, since it was built by the famous architect Stackenschneider and is a unique monument of neo-Greek and Pompeian architecture. Galleries are open to the park, surrounded by antique porticos and pergolas, and the building itself resembles an antique villa of the 1st century BC. In the last photo - a view from the research institute on the bay. The park Sergievka itself is a former Leuchtenberg estate.

An abandoned park, almost like a forest. There is no parking, no benches, no entertainment, no food and drinks either, which perfectly preserves nature and our health. But very picturesque.
