Interesting historical site in LO

Only the boulders from which it was built, and several sacrificial stones, remained from the ancient fortress that was on this site. It is interesting to wander around the ruins, looking at the well mossy stones, guessing how it looked several centuries ago, how people lived here. The place is very picturesque, on the banks of the Vuoksa, in its narrowest place, where ships used to be dragged by a wolf from one part of Vuoksa to another.

The fortress itself, like the city, has not been seen since 1411. It was then that the Swedes destroyed the settlement and the fortress, and no one has ever rebuilt it again. But until now, the placers of huge stones remind us of that era. Call in is definitely worth it. Note that the city of Tiversk was located on both sides of the highway, and there are ruins here and there. On one side of the road there is a memorial stone to the defenders of the Tiver fortress from a descendant, and a couple of tablets with information about the settlement of events of those years.
