I guess this is one of the things to see if you are super interested in Peter I. However walking around the beautiful park you might want to walk a bit further to see that longstanding tree. XD (be prepared for ugly photos if you go in winter).

It is not original.

Peter the Great's oak was destroyed. A new one was planted in its place, made of acorns from Petrovsky oak. The location was not chosen very well, right next to the road, it was necessary to make a "royal" fence and walking paths on all sides.

I remember a historic oak. Yes, that one! And it’s not at all because I am the same age as an oak tree and not a mermaid sitting in its branches. I remember the first trip to the open air with an art school. The island became my discovery, and later a place of relaxation. Amazing place! Here, the sun plays with tree branches, creating fancy lace on the sidewalks. In spring, when the sky is piercingly blue, the tender first green plays especially well ... And I want to live and be happy ... The earth comes to life, and a teenage oak stands in place of an old oak ...

They write that it was in this place that Tsar Peter planted his oak tree.
