The stone mansion in the spirit of northern Art Nouveau with Gothic elements was erected in 1904-1905 according to the project of architect Roman Meltzer. The house belonged to the Swiss national of the then-famous tailor, the head of the tailor's workshop and the supplier of the imperial court, Eduard Fallenweider. For the unusual shape and roof of the people, the house received the names "Teremok" and "Sugarloaf." The mansion resembles an old castle, which thanks to the Soviet cinema was remembered by many for the films "Mr. Designer", "Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson", "The Adventures of Prince Florizel." In the Soviet years, there was a sanatorium "Clinical" for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. In November 1992, the house was transferred to the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Denmark. In 2009, diplomats moved from there to the Moika embankment. Then the city administration transferred the house to a private company.

The film "The Adventures of Prince Florizel" was filmed here. More precisely a suicide club. Also, in episodes, the house appears in the series "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson" - "The Treasures of Agra"
