It was nice to enjoy talking with this place.

From the side, you can’t say that the cottage is wooden. Very long built. It was built for Prince Dolgorukov, then it was resold to the Prince of Oldenburg.

Cottage of the Prince of Oldenburg It was built in 1831-33 by the architect S. L. Shustov for Prince V. V. Dolgorukov. In 1833 he passed into the possession of the prince of Oldenburg, nephew of Nicholas I. Partially rebuilt by A.I. Shtakenschneider. Peter Oldenburgsky was an outstanding figure in Russian charity. In the 1830s, Pushkin was a guest at the cottage. In 1928, the house was converted into a residential building with communal apartments (later - a dormitory). In 1978, there was a fire right in front of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR Kosygin, who lived in a neighboring state cottage. Kosygin ordered the cottage to be restored. However, it stood in disrepair until 1982, after which it was disassembled and rebuilt in the late 80s. Currently empty.

One of the most important structures of the Stone Island, a monument of wooden architecture of the era of Russian classicism, built in 1831–1833 by the architect S. L. Shustov, has long been abandoned. Judging by the shoots in the courtyard of the owner no more than 15 years. Initially, the mansion was created on the lands of the princes Dolgorukov and sold upon completion of construction to Prince Pyotr Georgievich Oldenburg (military man and statesman, member of the Russian Imperial House, Pavel’s grandson1) the founder of the Chinese city of Harbin, Mr. Sviryagin. After the Soviet period in which there were plunders, fires and redevelopments, the building gradually dies

It's a shame, however. We are building three churches a day, and wonderful palaces to restore money are not enough
