The Grand Vorontsov-Dashkov Palace in Shuvalov's estate was built in 1914 on the site of an old manor house. According to legend, the building was supposed to be presented as a gift to Tsarevich Alexei. In the first years of Soviet power, the entire territory of the palace and park ensemble was liable to plunder, from which it can not recover until now. Since 1947, the building is run by the Institute of High Frequency Currents named after V.P. Vologda. Visit the palace is possible by appointment to an excursion on the data indicated on the website of the institute.
