St. Petersburg hides some of these little "landmarks". This is located on the Hare Island (where the Peter and Paul Fortress is). People throw coins at it and hope they will stay by the statue to bring good luck ...

Terribly bristling, with golden axes, swords and spades, taking for strength the shields with the face of the Gorgon jellyfish, crowning himself with double-headed eagles, the bridge named after St. Panteleimon courageously guards the strategically important road that goes along the Summer Garden. So that Herods and Aspids did not disturb the ceremonial rest of dignity husbands. Times passed, some dignitaries succeeded others, but time turned out to be favorable to the Panteleimon bridge, apparently the saint is very powerful, and now we have the opportunity to enjoy a very beautiful empire-style bridge. Glory to St. Panteleimon and caring intelligent residents of St. Petersburg / Petrograd / Leningrad / St. Petersburg!
