The worst service, extremely impolite employees that are Kilometers away from customer service, can even shout on ppl and are unable to speak English. Shame on you #Austria that is forcing people to go to Moscow for visas and can not even provide a middle level of service in Austroan embassy!

My wife needed an appointment for the issuance of a Visa D. All questions were answered very quickly by email in advance and an adequate appointment was approved. Due to unfortunate circumstances in the face of global corona problems (flight rebooking, corona test, delay a document etc) we have asked to postpone the date twice. In the end, my wife even got her preferred date. She had to wait around a week for the visa to be issued, and received it within 2 hours !! We were totally flabbergasted. I very seldom write reviews and certainly not with such a long text. In this case it was just a need for me. My wife, Elmira Khalibekova, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the consular department once again. 🙏

With this embassy I had only troubles. Moreover, the feeling was created that it was not the Austrians who put the sticks in the wheels (who are not there at all as such, except for the Consul and his assistant), namely the Russians. To find out something is completely useless. There is no opportunity to speak with the Consul either by telephone or at the embassy. The only exception is if the Consul invites in person for an interview. Those same “girls in the window” (Russians !!) for some reason decide who to accept and who not. (For comparison: the Consul personally receives you at the Russian Embassy in Vienna, there are no windows.) Another separate song is a record for filing documents. I thought that only I was so lucky, but I read reviews and I understand that this is such a system. But the problem is this: you want to sign up for an application at the Embassy, bypassing the visa center in order to save time and money (in this case, you won’t have to pay the service fee as in the visa center, only the consular one), but it wasn’t there! You can only sign up for a feed ONLINE. And the dates available for recording for the current month are always absent, but FOR THE NEXT MONTHS THEY STILL NOT. On the phone, these weary of overwork do not record the feed. For comparison: at the Greek Embassy, for example, there is a telephone record. Another point regarding the Austrian embassy: God forbid, if during a conversation with the Consul you will be able to answer for yourself at least in English. If not, then the very ones from the window (to drive away these little children) will be transferred to him in such a way that 90% of what you want to say is not voiced at all, and the remaining 10% will be distorted to disgrace. Be sure to pronounce important moments YOURSELF. Otherwise, then it will happen to you sideways that you’ve been "misled", "the last time you said otherwise." And prove that you are not a camel. One with me was so bothered with the translation that it even turned off the microphone, the Consul sat waiting for her to give birth to a fool. I was still afraid to speak German, although I understood everything. Then the Consul and I simply switched to English, bypassing it. The Consul himself - it seems, the only adequate person in this whole madhouse, is ready to help, but not to break through this defense to him. Well, in general, you must understand that if you were refused, then it is not at all the Austrian side, not the evil Austrians. Truly, your business reaches Austria only after approval in Moscow. But they in Moscow really like to take on too much and decide for the Vienna Magistrate what he might like and what not. In my case, for example, it was simply absurd: my husband and I (Austrian husband) already confirmed the date of marriage registration in the registry office of Vienna (I had the documents on hand, issued by the registry office of Vienna), all the papers were approved by the Austrians, but they didn’t give me in Moscow visa to go to the wedding itself. MOSCOW considered that something was wrong. In a word, chaos.

The situation is exactly the same as described in the previous comment: 3 weeks before the start of the vacation, an application was submitted. There is already only a week left from the vacation itself, but there is no solution. Vacation is spoiled: neither fly to Austria, nor somewhere else, because passports are still in Moscow, and the visa center feeds everything with excuses, the embassy apparently treats them themselves. Thank you last for your inability to work. We have already made up our minds about Austria, for the house begins at the threshold. Most likely we will sue. UPD Documents arrived at the embassy on 09/08/2017. 61 working days passed. In the yard 11/06/2017. Today, for the first time during this time, they call me and rather persistently, in my opinion, "offer" to withdraw documents. Or you can leave for (attention!) The START of their consideration, but the answer will probably be negative. And what are they, *****, doing these 3 months ?! All terms were disrupted for me, all my terms, too, and did not even begin to be considered ?! In general, this is a matter of jurisdiction.
