The place is excellent and deserves five stars, BUT ... 1. History. The tank mounted on the monument (IS-3) never participated anywhere (this particular tank) .... These tanks were launched into series at the very end of the war, and of course he did not find the famous battle of Kursk. But this is not important, because the main attitude. 2. Attitude. Behind the tank there is a platform more reminiscent of a landfill, which is not removed even by May 9th. But could something be done with this? The monument itself is often used as a slide, not only children, but also their parents. Especially struck by the mother on 15 cm stilettos in a miniskirt performing pirouettes ... 3. For the full picture ... Nearby is an old cemetery, directly to which from the road from the monument a rainwater drain is made, apparently specially so that the graves are washed away faster. It is likely that the lands of the private sector located behind the cemetery should be more fertile :) Conclusion: a good place, a place of memory and tribute to the ancestors, but, alas, "on paper", but in fact - forgotten. A people who do not remember their history are forced to repeat it. Kursk is a city of military glory, a title that went to blood and sweat. Is it really difficult to send fighters from the neighboring part to remove the parade ground? ;)
