Georgy Vasilyevich Sviridov - Soviet and Russian composer, pianist. Among the works of Sviridov, world-famous musical illustrations for the story of A.S. Pushkin’s “Snowstorm” and the suite “Time, Go!” On September 23, 2005, the first monument to the composer was unveiled in Kursk, on which his words were carved: “Sing Russia, where the Lord gave and told me to live, rejoice and suffer”.
