A beautiful monument to remind you of losses and casualties in the Second World War. Our common story.

The monument was built with money collected by employees of the Polytechnic in the postwar years. It was hardly dismantled by the current leadership of the university. As not fitting into the image of a modern educational institution. Naturally, there are those who voluntarily went to the front in the name of the ideals of socialism and love for the motherland. The monument was defended by veterans and caring employees.

The monument to polytechnics, who died during the Great Patriotic War, is installed in the park of the Polytechnic University in front of the southern facade of the Main Educational Building. It was opened on September 23, 1967.
