Because of him, the tax to the house cost 1,500 rubles, instead of 400. And so beautiful

Laundry Bridge is a cultural heritage site of federal significance. This is one of the first stone bridges in St. Petersburg. It was built simultaneously with the granite embankment of the left bank of the Neva at the Summer Garden. The Hermitage and Verkhne-Lebyazhy bridges, which were being built simultaneously with it, have a similar construction. The bridge was built from 1766 to 1769. It was called Laundry because of the nearby palace laundries, on the corner of Sergievskaya Street (now Tchaikovsky Street) and the Fontanka Embankment. In subsequent years, only icebreakers were rebuilt, the bridge itself was preserved unchanged. It offers wonderful views of the Neva, Petrovskaya embankment, Troitsky and Liteiny bridges, the Fontanka embankments with the Summer Garden, the Engineering Castle, the School of Law, Salt Town.
